New Grant Funding to Support Water Quality in the Rogue

The Kent Conservation District (KCD) and the Rogue River Watershed Partners (RRWP) recently received new grant funding from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) to support and “expand previous conservation efforts” in the Rogue River Watershed.  Grant funds will primarily be used to advocate for and create new riparian buffers, improve/restore impaired areas near agricultural tributaries, and support/continue school outreach programs throughout the watershed. As a partner, LGROW will be involved in educational outreach and riparian buffering efforts including tree plantings.
