Don’t pour paint, solvent, medicine, automotive oil, or chemicals down the drain or dump them in the trash where they may end up in our drinking water and lakes!
Household Hazardous Waste
Household Hazardous Waste accepted Includes aqueous acids and bases; oil-based paints; reactives; solvents; aerosol cans; automotive liquids; pesticides (liquids and solids); automotive batteries; alkaline, nickel-cadmium and/or silver oxide batteries; liquid cleaners; heavy metal solutions; mercury-containing articles; motor oil.
We Cannot Accept: asbestos; electronics, latex paint (when dry it can go to the landfill); propane tanks; commercially generated waste; radioactive material; explosives; unknown wastes; console and projection televisions; speakers in wooden cases; tires heavily caked with dirt.
Medications
Medications need to be in their original containers with the name of the drug clearly labeled. Cross out any personal information on the containers.
