Project WET Educator Workshop

Register today for a Project WET Educator Workshop! Due to sponsorship by the Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds, this workshop is FREE for teachers in the Lower Grand River Watershed in Kent or Ottawa Counties. Nonformal educators and teachers from schools outside these boundaries may attend for a $35 fee (this covers the cost of the Project WET Curriculum Guide).

This one-day workshop will train educators to incorporate nationally recognized Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) activities into existing curriculum. Participants will engage in fun, hands-on indoor and outdoor learning activities appropriate for K-12 students as well as learners of all ages.

Educators across the country use Project WET to:
*Improve student skills in science, math,reading, writing and social studies.
*Integrate environmental education methods in indoor & outdoor classrooms.
*Help address Michigan academic standards.
*Introduce fun and effective learning.

Workshop participants will receive:
*Project WET K-12 Activity Guide
*Giveaways and supplemental resources
*Lunch and snacks
*Six (6) SCECH's through Kent ISD ($5 fee payable to Kent ISD due at time of workshop)
*Substitute reimbursement for teachers at schools within the Lower Grand River Watershed in Kent/Ottawa Counties

Teachers within the Lower Grand River Watershed in Kent or Ottawa Counties are also eligible for substitute reimbursement.
