Grand River Update
A presentation about local initiative on the Grand River
7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, at Roselle Park in Ada, MI
The “Grand River Update” is a special program with three presentations about the status and initiatives taking place locally on the Grand River. The event will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th in the building at the Roselle Park in Ada Township.
During the program, Ada Township Parks Director Mark Fitzpatrick will first speak about regional plans for conservation initiatives along the Grand River corridor including new parks, land preserves and easements. Wendy Ogilvie, of the Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds will then present an overview on the Grand River Revitalization & Rapids Restoration Project going on in Grand Rapids. Capping off the program will be Natalie Henley, West Michigan Environmental Action Council’s Water Fellow, speaking about the “Grand River Water Trail” initiative underway.
Roselle Park is located at 1010 Grand River Dr. in Ada, Michigan, 49301. The event is free and open to the public. The program will be inside the new building there.
