Real Time Water Quality Monitoring Stations Installed in the Lower Grand River Watershed
Two new real time water quality monitors were installed this week in the Lower Grand River Watershed. The new monitors were placed in Coldbrook Creek and Indian Mill Creek to measure water temperature, water depth, and electrical conductivity every 15 minutes.
Earlier this year, monitors were also installed in Bear Creek, Buck Creek, Coldwater River, Lee Creek (a small tributary to the Grand River), Prairie Creek, and the Rogue River.
These water quality monitors will provide valuable water quality information over time and are equipped to allow for future parameter additions once funding becomes available. Visit the LGROW data repository for additional water quality samples and to submit your own data.
