Tour de Plants

  • Kent Trails Ivanrest Trail Head 2350 Ivanrest Avenue Southwest Wyoming, MI, 49418 United States (map)

Learn about water treatment and how it affects the Grand River! Join us for a cycling tour that stops at the Wyoming Clean Water Plant and the Grandville Clean Water Plant. Professionals from each facility will cycle with, and inform the group about how their work directly impacts the water quality of the Grand River Watershed.

Meet at the Kent Trails – Ivanrest Trailhead (address: 2350 Ivanrest SW Wyoming, MI 49418) at 2pm; parking is available at the trailhead.

The group will follow the Kent Trails system to bike between the Clean Water Plants. The distance between each plant is about 3.5 miles, making the round trip just over 7 total miles. Bikes are not provided, and please provide your own bicycle, helmet, and water. This is a casual ride - no one will be left behind!

If you wish to participate in each of the Clean Water Plant tours, but do not wish to bike, please feel free to register for the event and meet at the Ivanrest Trailhead at 2 pm. You could then drive and meet the group at the Grandville Clean Water Plant for the second stop.
